Our goal and desire is to see young people trained and equipped to lead the next generation. This training includes, but is not limited to an excellent education as well as a solid foundation upon the Word of God. We believe that the Christian school should merely be an extension of what is taking place in the home.
At Riverland Christian Academy we want to follow the teachings of Paul as he taught Timothy - II Timothy 2:2 "And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also." We want to provide the needed assistance to concerned, dedicated parents in the battle for their children. We want to meet the needs that parents can only partially fulfill by themselves, whether they are academic or spiritual in nature. We desire to work hand-in-hand with parents, helping mold lives that will make a difference for Christ.
RCA exists because of the vision of God's people in Riverland Baptist Church. As Godly parents began to see their children drift into sin and forsake the heritage they had in the Christian faith, some knew that it was time to rid their children of the influences that were ripping apart the very fabric of the Christian home. Something had to be done to help parents who were struggling to train their children as the Bible commands:
"And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all they might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto they children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up."
"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
That answer was a school of their own. A school where Godly teachers could not only provide the expertise in education but also provide what they really need - assistance in building their children's faith! Therefore, Riverland Christian Academy was created; not a mere institution of reading and writing, but as an active partner in the spiritual warfare which is the Christian life.
